Darshana timings
Three darshana sessions a day, with the sanctum shut between them. Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays run a little longer, and festival days longer still — those are announced on the notice board.
Morning darshana
- Mon–Fri
- 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- Sat, Sun & holidays
- 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM
The longest session, and the kindest in summer — the hill is exposed and the stone is hot from about 10 AM.
Evening darshana
- Mon–Fri
- 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Sat, Sun & holidays
- 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Opens half an hour earlier on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
Night darshana
- Mon–Fri
- 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Sat, Sun & holidays
- 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Runs later, to about 8:30 PM, on festival and other special days.
Confirm before you travel
Timings can change on festival days and public holidays, and for observances announced only a few days ahead. Please telephone the office to confirm before you set out.
When the sanctum is shut
- 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM on weekdays, and 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM at the weekend, for the midday offering and rest
- 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM every day, between the evening and night darshana
Yoga Narasimha, up on the hill
A separate temple and a separate climb, and it opens two hours after the sanctum below. The same every day of the week.
