Melukote Guruji Foundation
The Gurukulam is run by celebrated Imbattiruvar Sri
Yatirajadasar family Gurus of Melukote. Acharya Sri Ramanujar appointed this family as a sthanacharya of Melukote Sri Chaluvanarayana Swamy
temple from C.E 1080. Since then the family is doing religious
works for the society with rendering daily services i.e. Kainkaryam to Lord Sri Shalva
Tirunarayana and Sri Acharya
Ramanujar. Aradhanam of Sri Dakshina Badarai Narayana
swamy and Sri Gavigal Anjaneya swamy also included to the
family duties. Apart from these
kainkaryams to support sanatana dharma education
system the family gurus running Sri Vijayalakshmi Vedagama
Jotisha Samskrita Gurukulam –
a pathashala in Melukote with free accomadation and food to
the students. There are 28
students are studying now in the Gurukulam who are all belongs
to different temples of
Karnataka.
